UV Coating Solutions are those that employ "UV Curable Acrylate" as the major component of the formulated coatings. The coatings are applied onto the surface of an image for the purpose of protecting and/or enhancing the image. A specific UV light range is used to "convert" the acrylate monomers from a liquid to a solid upon exposure. Flow agents are used to accomodate flow properties of the coating over difference media types and ink packages. UV coatings are 99.9% convertible from liquid to solids, leaving essentially no VOC's to evaporate into the atmosphere. UV curable coating solutions offer the fastest, safest way to coat your prints and are approrpiate for many of today's common print applications.
