The continuous casting machine employes continuous straightening type withdrawal straightener, which continuously straightens the arc-shape billets. The withdrawal straightener is driven by AC frequency conversion motor, which allows a large-range speed regulation. In the casting process, the withdrawal straightener has to overcome the friction force from the crystallizer and resistance from the secondary cooling device. There are a number of factors affecting the casting speed, and the casting speed has to be adjusted according to different situations. When driving the dummy bar, the worker should increase the speed of the withdrawal straightener.
