Process flow block diagram:

General process description and photos for the main equipments:

(1) Dextrose adjustment: The dextrose after evaporated, it is adjusted to get DS40-45% with water. It will be mixed with certain quantity chemicals then pumped to temporary storage tank as feeding of isomerization columns. The dextrose will be degassed and adjusted to qualified PH value for isomerization.

(2) Isomerization: The qualified material is sent to the isomerization columns where it will be isomerized into 42% fructose.

(3) Decoloring and filtration: The F42 is sent to the decoloring tank. In this section, active carbon is needed for decoloring at proper temperature. After decoloring, the material will be sent to the filter for filtering active carbon.

(4) Ion exchange: The F42 is sent to the ion exchanger. The tiny foreign items and bad odor is removed via ion exchanger. This equipment is used for high quality product.



(5) Evaporation: The F42 is totally cleaned through safety filter then sent to evaporator for concentrating to reach the required DS 71% as the final product.



F55 section

(6) If the final product is hfcs55, the above diluted hfcs42 can be concentrated to DS60% then sent to chromatography system for further separation. The hfcs90 can be produced via chromatography system with small brix. Then, 55% content of fructose can be acquired by means of mixing and blending the hfcs90 and hfcs42 diluted liquid. After being cleaned and evaporation, the 55% content of fructose with DS77%–the final product is produced and sent to package section.
