Purpose

Air cannon block clearer is a special device used to prevent and remove the material blast and block of all kinds of silo, hopper, cement preheating furnace, pipeline Y section and mine chute and drawslope. It is suitable for silos and hoppers which are made of concrete, steel, wood and plastic. Widely employed in coal mine, downhole coal bunker, coal washery, cement factory, foundary, thermal power plant, sintering plant coal gas factory, fertilizer plant, chemicals plant, aluminium plant, alkali factory, steel works, coking plant, pharmaceutical factory, mine, dock, foodstuff & feedings process works, concrete process which need to use silos, hoppers transfer pipelines and chute.

Features

1.Safe and Reliable:We design and make air cannon according to vessel specification set by our country. As the jet of air cannons is instant and the air volume used each time is restricted, it will not make the silos and hoppers shake and it will not impact the wall of the silos either. We use no-spark switch, therefore there is no risk of explosion in the surrounding medium.

2.High energy but low energy consumption:Air cannon block clearer use the air stored in the air tank to generate a big impact force through a sudden outbreak, then applied directly on the area where the material is stagnant to remove the block. Due to the air cannon works intermittently and the time required to inflate is short, the energy it consumes is less than the energy other aided flowing device consumes.

3. Low noise:The noise made by expansion and release of compressed air is almost absorbed by the material within the silos, and the air cannon works intermittently, therefore the noise is lower than standard of industrial noise.

4.Easy installation and maintenance:In the positions within the silos where tend to be blocked, cut an opening or design a pre-moded hole when design. Weld the pipe support on the wall of the silos or use concrete to fix it on the wall of the silos, and then connect it to the spray pipe of the air cannon directly. The body of the air cannon is hanged on the wall or other components with turnbuckle or steel bar in order to reinforce the stability of the body of the air cannon. There is no need to use special tool.

Operational Principle

Air cannon use a strong flow of compressed air emitted suddenly to impact the blocked area within the silos for storing bulk material at a speed more than 1 mach or more than the speed of sound directly. The expansion impact force released suddenly can conquer the static friction of the material, so the material can begin to flow again under gravity.

The elcetro-magnetic pulse diaphragm valve is composed of two gas cells. When the compressed air is connected, it comes into the back gas cell though the orifice. The

pressure in the back gas cell pushes the diaphragm closely against the outlet of the valve and the electro-magnetic valve stays in the “closed” condition.

The electrical signals from the pulse jet control device move the armature of the electro-magnetic pulse valve .The air escape of the back gas cell opens and the back gas cell

loses pressure quickly, thus the diaphragm moves back and the compressed air blows through the valve outlet. The electro-magnetic pulse valve comes into the “open” condition.

When the electrical signals from the pulse jet control device disappear, the armature of the electro-magnetic pulse valve returns to its original position. The air escape of the back gas cell closes and the pressure in the back gas cell rises, which pushes the diaphragm closely against the valve outlet .The electro-magnetic valve comes into its “closed” condition again.

Note: Quick release solenoid valve can be provided by different manufacturers according to customers' request.

Pipe Blockages in Heat Exchanger, Filter and Furnace Kiln

1. General Selection Principles

Air cannons of which the capacity is 14 or 30L are mainly used for some applications

where the specific density of stored material is small, the flowability is good, the capacity of the silo and the cross-section area are both small, such as grain warehouse, plastic bin for saw dust, small cement silo and transferring pipeline.

Air cannons of which the capacity is 50, 60, 75 or 100L are mainly used for small and middle-size silos which used for storing general material such as fertilizer, concrete, foundry sand, small loading gate, small RC silo and so on.

Air cannons of which the capacity is 150, 160, 170 or 300L are mainly used for some applications where the specific density of stored material is big, the flowability is poor, the capacity of the silo and the cross-section area are not too big, as well as the material tend to harden such as various middle-size loading coal silo, raw coal silo with big capacity, surge bin, small upgraded ore silo and so on.

Air cannons of which the capacity is 300 or 500L are mainly used for large-size coal silo, big specific density upgraded ore silo as well as other applications for particular purpose.

2. General layout principles: Through the silo structure analysis and site visits, the positions where forms the filled arch and would be blocked the most easily is the junction between vertical wall of the silo and the conical hopper up to the lower part, therefore we should place air cannons within these areas. Arrange several air cannons hierarchically by the angle in the positions where forms filled arch easily, in order to operate as an operating system. Generally, the interlayer distance is 0.9-2.5 m and the space between the air cannons is about 3 m. These are just a general selection. The exact configuration of air cannons for the silo depends on the specific circumstances
