Converter Water Cooling Device for Wind Turbine

Usage

Our FD S/D series water cooling unit for wind power generator is mainly used for the direct cooling of motor stator and converter as well as the indirect cooling of lubricating and hydraulic system, it can enhance heat exchange ability of the system.

Working principle

1.Water-cooling unit is a sealed system. Water pump starts work when motor is activated, the coolant is drawn to water pump through air-cooler and finally sent to cooling point by pump .the impact on the system caused by the change of medium in heat and cold condition should be considered.

2.The system have accumulator installed to reduce pressure fluctuation and absorb the change of volume caused by coolant under the impact of temperature, make sure the water pump and cooling cycle system is fully filled with coolant and the accumulator is pre-pressured. The accumulator can maintain system pressure in given time when water pump shut down. Safety valve open to discharge if system pressure over its set valve and the coolant goes to water bottle which specially prepared to collect spilled coolant. The pressure transmitter will give signal when system pressure lower than set value.

The pressure gauge is installed to read the pressure directly. On the top of cooling unit there is exhaust valve and connector which can eliminate the interfused air immediately. The temperature of coolant will be detected by thermoelectricity resistant .The heater will be activated when temperature is lower than set value, vice versa.Air-cooler is used to cool the coolant in water cycle system.

3.It consists of motor , axis-flow fan, radiator and so on. when the temperature of water lower than set value, the cooler shut down ,vice versa. Accumulator is installed in consideration of the impact cause by change of medium in hot and cold environment. Exhaust device in pump and system will prevent the air separating out from water and will extend the performance and service life of pump.Special design of anti-corrosion is a guarantee to the long service life of system.The flow situation, water temperature and system pressure are monitored to assure the safe operation of the system.
